Home Fire Safety Information

We have included in this section valuable information about wildfires, home fire safety and how you can take an active part in your home’s survival against fire.   We value your comments.

We emphasize safety first.  A building can be replaced.  People’s lives cannot.  Your priority should be always the safety and survival of your family and pets, followed by your possessions.

Please at minimum always plan an emergency exit plan from your home, a meeting place to make sure everyone is safe, and an evacuation route out of the area.

We believe that you can go beyond those fire safety basics.

People have been encouraged for quite some time to walk away from a fire situation.  Mainly this is due to people not being able to help in a fire crisis.  Their presence may hinder the fire professionals to do their job and endanger themselves in the process.

Our view is that you can through advanced planning help improve the safety of your family, and the survivability of your home without hindering the fire department.  Best of all some of these measures will be effective whether or not you are at home or if your electrical power is available.

Time and planning are always the critical factors.  You can improve the safety and welfare of your family and possessions if can act ahead by taking measures to improve your home’s survivability against wildfires.

Local Governments, Fire Departments and Insurance Agencies are reacting to devastating wildfires.  This can result in people’s homes not being insurable, lower priority in fire defense and other penalties for being not being in a fire safe condition.  What was once a luxury enhancement is now becoming a necessity as the costs of rebuilding continue to rise.

The science of examining wildfires continues to progress. This has resulted in good news as people with direct experience with major wildfires are creating solutions to help you defend your home SAFELY against wildfires.

Contact us at WildFireOptions.com if you have any questions how you can improve your home’s safety against wildfire.
